Supply Technician

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-4 grade level or other equivalent grading system for consideration for the GS-5 grade level.). Specialized
Experience:
In order to meet the specialized experience requirement, you will need to have completed 52 weeks of progressively responsible specialized experience at the next lower band/grade level. For the GS-2005-5 level:
Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates a knowledge of, and skills required to perform standardized procedures related to sampling, laboratory information managements systems (computerized), shipping and receiving. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distributing laboratory supplies, instruments and other material; preparing and shipping sample collection materials, replenishing stock and maintaining records on stock levels; cleaning assigned areas in accordance with good laboratory practices and utilizing an automated information management system to maintain (computerized) inventory and sample integrity. For the GS-2005-6 level:
The GS-2005-6 covers all the duties listed of the GS-2005-5, but with more independence and less supervision of duties performed. Resume must reflect experience, education or training which demonstrates a knowledge of, and skills required to perform standardized procedures related to sampling, laboratory information managements systems (computerized), shipping and receiving. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distributing laboratory supplies, instruments and other material; preparing and shipping sample collection materials, replenishing stock and maintaining records on stock levels; cleaning assigned areas in accordance with good laboratory practices and utilizing an automated information management system to maintain (computerized) inventory and sample integrity. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
