At the GS-05:
Qualifying experience for GS-05 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-04 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience providing clerical and office automation support, including preparing and reviewing correspondence, making travel arrangements, maintaining records, and directing calls and visitors to the appropriate office staff. -OR- Education:
4 full years of education above high school. At the GS-06:
Qualifying experience for GS-06 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-05 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is Customer service, communication, and experience using technology applications as well as office management policies, regulations and procedures concerning such administrative matters as correspondence preparation and control, travel, personnel, office automation systems, files maintenance, services/supplies/equipment requisitioning, budget preparation, and time and attendance. -OR- Education:
You must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-05 in the Federal service, OR 1 year of graduate level education directly related to the position. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, applicants must possess a typing speed of 40 words per minute. May be subject to satisfactory completion of one year trial period. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
